About
I’m Kat — homesteader, chronic illness haver, professional appreciator of naps. This farm and this body are both works in progress, and this blog is where I write honestly about tending both.

What's a spoon rating?
Spoon theory is shorthand many of us with chronic illness use for daily energy: you start each day with a limited number of "spoons," and everything — showering, feeding animals, making dinner — costs some.
Every post here carries a spoon rating from 1 to 5: the honest energy cost of the project or task it describes. One spoon means "doable from a chair on a bad day." Five spoons means "needs a good day, a helper, and a recovery plan." It's there so you can pick what fits the day you're actually having — not the day you wish you were having.
